We have a genie S60 manlift that we are planning on doing some refurbishing work on. Its in pretty good shape for the most part but the wiring harness is completely shot on it. We plan on completely replacing all the wiring, including any relays, switches or similar. Also, I plan on completely replacing the entire control box on the platform, except for the joysticks. I also plan on replacing all the wear pads in the boom. Other than that it seems to be in pretty good shape.
I have not done much work on manlifts, other than simple repairs. So before I tore into it I just wanted to see if y'all had any suggestions on what to watch out for or other parts to check. All of the pins in the boom seem to be in good working order, all of the hydraulic hoses seem to be in good shape and everything else that I can see without tearing anything apart appear to be ok.
