Im trying to find any info on the gear oil type quantity for the differential on my 1957ish towmotor680p. It's a 7000lb capacity lift truck with a continental f227 engine, and 7.50x15 dual drive pneumatic tires. This differs from the later cat760p. A service manual would be great! I do have the parts list.

carraro 26.25 axle help

I have this skytrak 3606 that developed a hydraulic leak into the front axle. Upon disassembly I found the brake positions all leaking. No real surprise there. What surprised me was the missing teeth on the ring gear. Parts seem to readily available but does anybody know where I can get the dummy pinion & diff carrier tools necessary for setting it up?
EBay isn't showing any right now. I really don't want to pay the amount jlg or gehl want for these. Does anybody know a suitable work-around for setting pinion depth & backlash without those specific tools?

Where to sell used forklifts

I inherited 3 forklifts from my father-in-law's business that I'm trying to sell in the Poconos. I've listed on craigslist, but no buyers. Is there a site to price and/or sell used equipment? I don't have a clue how to price these. I saw machinerytrader.com but it looks geared toward dealers. Thanks for any assistance!

Lull 944F-42 Telehandler problems with start/park circuits

We have a lull 944F-42 telehandler that will start normal with the transmission control disabled. But when the trans control is hooked up the starter will crank as soon as you turn the ignition switch to the on position(not crank position),unit will start and you have to turn off the parking brake off to get the starter to stop cranking. I've tried a new parking switch and checked any wiring not in a loom for damage. Just cant figure out what is going on with it. This happened when I pulled it out of the shop stopped with the brake and turned parking brake on. As soon as I turned on the parking brake the unit quit running instantly. It blew a main fuze. I don't have much experience with these lifts does anyone have any advice for me? Thanks in advance...really need a direction to go on this.

Operators manual for Lull 644 Highlander II needed

Good Morning,

I've spent hours reading the forums here over the years and have found the information extremely valuable. I recently purchased a Lull 644 Highlander II and need to locate an operators manual. I have seen postings for the manual here, but no links for download. I'm honestly not sure what year the machine is, but I suspect it's early 90's. I haven't been able to locate the serial number either(the plaque seems to have been removed.) The machine needs tires and a hose or two, but it's only going to be used around the yard and to rebuild our house, not on a commercial job site. The main problem I have right now is the push pull cables for the gear select on the transmission and the tcase are missing. The forward and reverse cable is installed and working properly. I believe the machine has been used like this for years, but I am not sure which gears are selected on the trans currently. I have shifted the transmission manually, all positions appear to work but I'm not sure where 1st/low gear is. I'm hoping the operators manual will help further familiarize me with the machine. JLG's documentation doesn't go back far enough online. Thanks for the help.

JCB 505-19FS Steering Problem

I'm working on a JCB 505-19FS and it will not go into 4 wheel steer. I have been able to swap solenoids to even out the axles just, so the unit could be used. However, after a few days the rear axle starts shifting and we are unable to get it on the trailer. Any suggestions on what to look at. I'm thinking it may be the prox switch, but I'm not sure and they don't have a manual for the unit. Any help would be appreciated.

Bobcat T40170 drive issues

I need help with this bobcat forklift were working on. I'm currently deployed in Afghanistan on a small SF FOB so keep in mind I can't go to a store and buy a part. When I got here this bobcat T40170 was not moving at all, no hydro's were working. The previous mechanic figured out that the gear in the bell housing which is made out of plastic was broken, it drives the pump. I got the part and installed it, put it all back together and now everything works except forward and reverse. Steering, boom functions & accessories all work it just won't go into drive or reverse. The reverse buzzer comes on when selected so it thinks it's in reverse. It acts like it's in neutral all the time no matter what gear is selected. Also the overweight alarm is always on.

What I could really use is a repair manual but no luck finding one. I'm told this version of the forktruck is the over seas version as it has a perkins engine. I hoping something is just hooked up backwards. Last bit of info I got is when it did break down I'm told it was drug to it's repair location & the wheels were locked the entire time. When I lift it up so all four wheels are off the ground the wheels do slowly roll on their own, when giving it throttle they roll a little bit faster but always forward & never in reverse.

Any help would be appreciated, a digital copy of the repair manual would help the most.

Thanks-

This goes on the bottom of the air filter to allow dust and such to fall out, this one is worn out badly. Any idea where I might get one or the correct name for it, if that might help me find one.

I have a 1995 JLG 40 with a 4 cyl Ford motor. When I start it, it will run for maybe 10 minutes then die. It will usually restart then die again almost right away. This goes on tell it won't start at all. If you let it sit for about an hour, it will start the process all over again. It has an electric fuel pump. I have disconnected the fuel line from the carb. and run out 10 gallons of gas into cans. It pumps fuel fine. It has a new fuel filter. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance-

Gradall Cable Snapped!!!!

I've had a Gradall 534D 9-45 for a couple years and it has worked flawlessly, never had a problem with it. It was never maxed out as far as it lifting capacity. It saw fairly light duty from me. I sold it recently and the first day the buyer had it he was picking up a concrete culvert. He has no idea what culvert weighed but he says it picked it up ok when he had about one section of boom extended. He tried to retract boom with weight of culvert and snapped the cables in the boom. Along with that it appears it ripped up some hoses also as it is now leaking fluid a lot. My question is are telehandlers designed to retract the the boom with weight on them? He said only one section was extended and the boom was horizontal.

Obviously he is looking to me to fix as he only owned it for a day. I have a feeling this is going to be quite costly. Any idea what it may be (cost wise) to fix? Thanks
